In my nation we had one word we used to say ‘harambe’ which means pulling together. We shouldn't walk alone. As society, we should care enough for any woman who is pregnant.

Over the months leading up to and following the conclusion of the Summit, participants worked together to establish A Roadmap to Combat between 2023 and 2030 (aka the Roadmap), a shared plan—developed and held collectively—for preventing and treating PPH. The Roadmap is organized around four strategic areas, which reflect the journey of life-saving interventions from idea to clinical practice.

I asked what was happening and was told I was losing too much blood. I became very scared.

My partner was sitting next to me holding our baby and asking a midwife to take a picture of him. I remember thinking, 'I'm going to die and he has no idea'.
